The Bank of Canada is currently running a nomination process to determine which Canadian will replace Prime Minister Laurier on the $5 bank note. Mr. Fox is one of eight final nominees.
On April 11th, I wrote an open letter to Minister Chrystia Freeland requesting that Terry Fox be the new face of our five dollar bill.
Terry Fox is a uniquely Canadian hero. It is time we take another step in honouring him by ensuring he takes his rightful place representing our country on the five-dollar bill. You can read my full letter to Minister Freeland here:
