Fun festivities for fall: from frightful to delightful!


Get in the spirit of the season with fun fall festivities!  Whether you’re looking for a frightful or delightful way to spend your October, we’ve got activities for all ages and interests!  

Pumpkin patch workshops  

Cozy and creepy crochet 

Hooked on fall? Us too! If you’re aged 16 and up, come learn to craft a pumpkin in our crocheting workshop on Sunday, October 6 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at St. Laurent Complex.  

Halloween bash  

Families are invited to join us on Saturday, October 26 from 3 to 6 pm at Pat Clark Community Centre for a free afternoon of surprises and treats! Activities include a monster carnival, mad scientist lab, Halloween crafts, storytime with vampires and trick-or-treating. Costumes encouraged!

Spooktacular Halloween party 

Enjoy a Spooktacular Halloween Party on Saturday, October 26 at the Diane Deans Greenboro Community Centre. Your little ghouls and goblins will enjoy ghostly games, the Haunted House of Horrors, crafts and more.  Kids aged 3 to 7 can join us from 11 am to 1 pm, and kids aged 8 to 12 can join us from 2 to 4 pm. Tickets cost $20 at the door, but it’s $15 if you register in advance! Since children admission for accompanying adults is free. 

Pumpkin Derby 

Halloween fun for all ages on Sunday, October 27 from 9:30 am to 4 pm in the Lansdowne Park Horticulture building.  Register to race and be in with a chance of winning great prizes from local businesses! Spectators can cheer on the racers and enjoy fun free activities like glitter tattoos, Halloween crafts and a play zone. 


Registered to race, but need some help building your pumpkin? Join us for our workshops at noon and 2 pm on October 26. 

Dungeons and Dragons Halloween One-Shot 

Roll for Halloween haunts at our dreadful Dungeons and Dragons one-shot! Youth and adults are invited to join our Dungeon Master for an epic adventure on Sunday, October 27 in the Lansdowne Park Horticulture Building from 9 am to 1 pm and 1:30 to 5:30 pm. 

Thrilling Theatre 

Lost Baggage Musical Theatre is performing The Addams Family from Thursday, October 31 to Sunday, November 3 at Arts Court. Get your tickets now!

Halloween at City museums

There are spooky adventures happening at City of Ottawa Museums. Join Makers at the Museum: Victorian Hair Art at Billings Estate on Thursday, October 24 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm or Fairfields Heritage House on Saturday, October 19 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.


Mischief is afoot at Billings Estate National Historic Site as their Halloween Heist takes place on October Saturday, 26 and Sunday, October 27 from 10 am to 4 pm.


Get ready for some Halloween Hijinks on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 from 10 am to 4 pm. Celebrate all things silly, fun and a little bit spooky at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum and collect a few treats along the way.
