From Ottawa Fire

Fire station locations and schedules: About Ottawa Fire Services | City of Ottawa

The Ottawa Professional Firefighters Association (IAFF Local 162) would like to announce that the Help Santa Toy Parade and the Orleans Parade of Lights events will be occurring this year in their traditional forms.

The Help Santa Toy Parade will be held on November 18, 2023 starting at 11:00am. It will take

its traditional route starting in front of City Hall on Laurier Avenue, proceeding west on Laurier Avenue, turning south on Bank Street and ending at Lansdowne Park. People looking to put an entry into the parade can “Apply Now” on our website. Volunteers are needed and can submit their name using the “Volunteer Now” button on our website. Additional information can be found here:

The Santa’s Parade of Lights will be held on November 25, 2022 starting 6:00pm. It will take its

traditional route down St. Joseph Blvd from Youville Drive to Prestone Drive. Additional information can be found here: https://www.paradeoflights.org

In addition, we would like to announce that donations in the form of new unwrapped toys will

be accepted at all fire stations. It should be noted that rural fire stations are not staffed and will only be able to take donations on training nights. See below for schedules.

We will be collecting cash donations along the parade route as well as online at

http://www.toyparade.ca. This year we will also be able to take “Tap” donations along the parade route as a “cashless” option.

The Help Santa Toy Parade is in its 54rd year of operation and the Orleans Parade of Lights is in

its 26th year of operation. Together they bring joy to the community during the holiday season each

year while also supporting Toy Mountain. Toy Mountain provides toys to families annually to ensure

that all children can open a gift on Christmas morning.
