David spent his professional career before being elected to Ottawa City Council as an infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces – learning and practicing the values of service before self. He studied politics and economics for his undergraduate degree and focused on defence and security studies for his masters.

Final concept Earlier this summer, we asked residents to help decide on a redesigned concept for Mowat Farm Park (farm vs nature concept). The community responded very positively to the Farm theme—largely because it aligns well with the park’s name—but residents also expressed strong interest in the climbing features. So, based on your feedback, the city will be going forward with the farm concept, while also integrating the climbing/monkey bar elements from the nature scheme
