You can judge the health of a community by its parks. Seeing kids playing on a jungle gym, teenagers shooting hoops, or a lineup of lawn chairs on the edge of a soccer field watching a game are all signs of a healthy community.
Our Barrhaven parks and walking trails are well used, and it seems by almost everyone in the community.
I myself spend my winters maintaining the Fosterbrook outdoor rink. Seeing young kids racing down the street to go skating right around the corner from their house warms the heart.
But as our community has grown, so too must our parks and sports infrastructure. I’ve talked to thousands of residents, who think very highly of our parks, but we all agree that we need more of them.
This is why as your councillor, I will work with the City’s Parks and Rec, to update and build new and better parks and additional sports infrastructure across our ward.
Who wouldn’t want to see more basketball, pickleball, & tennis courts, a new cricket field or more walking trails along the Jock river?
Over the last few decades, Barrhaven has had tremendous growth, but we need the roads and bridges to get people to and from where they need to go.
As your councillor, I will continue to fight to get the Greenbank realignment sped up. Another decade of waiting is far too long. I will also work with the Provincial Government to get another highway on-ramp at Barnsdale road, and I will build the parks, and community spaces that make Barrhaven an amazing place to raise a family.

I have spent the last ten months knocking on doors all over Barrhaven. Time and time again, you have shared a number of issues. You have told me that our community needs better roads and bridges, more reliable transit, and improved community safety. The rising cost of living is hurting a lot, and families cannot shoulder drastic tax increases to fund pie-in-the-sky promises.
I can relate to these concerns, because, as a Barrhaven resident, I live them myself.
That’s why I’m proud to share my exciting platform with my vision of how, together, we can address these issues and build a better Barrhaven.
I hope I can count on your support in this journey and your vote come October 24th, 2022.
