Budget 2026: Investments for Barrhaven West
This was a good year for Barrhaven, with significant investments into local projects that I’ve been advocating for all year (and in some cases the whole term). Below you can find details on infrastructure investments in our community, and details on improved city services. When I ran for office in 2022, I promised that I would fast-track Greenbank Realignment. This project was long promised to the Half Moon Bay community but had stalled out for years, making getting in and

Mowat Farm Upgrades & Redesign
Final concept Earlier this summer, we asked residents to help decide on a redesigned concept for Mowat Farm Park (farm vs nature concept). So, based on your feedback, the city will be going forward with the farm concept, while also integrating the climbing/monkey bar elements from the nature scheme

Greenbank Road realignment to break ground next year after decades-long delay
Charlie Senack | Ottawa Lookout Plans for realignment and development were delayed for years until recently, when more money was allocated in the 2026 Draft City Budget for the first phase of work to begin next spring. Even on a good day, getting in and out of Barrhaven’s Half Moon Bay can be a challenge. Commuters in the community of more than 40,000 are funneled onto roads built to be rural concessions, never meant to handle suburban traffic. What was once an expanse of bar
